Week of March 25 - Always On The Move

Always on the move, would be a very good way to describe Emily. Lots and lots of energy and always on the move. I know many of us parents have the same thoughts and feelings about our little ones..... "where do they get all that energy!?" :-)

Oh, yeah, and always chatting too. Emily begins talking when she wakes up in the morning in her crib and for the most part keeps going and going and going all day long.

I snapped this first photo as Emily had come down the stairs and was headed toward the family room kitchen area of our house. Note that perky and happy smile on her face. That smile means I need to be on my toes as she definitely has something in mind and it involves some form of mischief for sure.........

On the move sometimes involves the stroller. Like most toddlers, Emily loves stroller rides. So with the warm weather out, we dressed Emily up in some light clothing, and picked out a hat and got ready to go......

Whoa...wait a minute...hold on there...as Dada sends Mommy upstairs to find those cool sunglasses he bought a while back for Emily. We have to try those on......and note the puzzled look on Emily's face as she tries to work out why everything now has this amber shade to it....

Having determined that the sunglasses are acceptable, and with hat back on Emily's noggin, it was time to load up into the stroller and take off....

Sometimes on the move is simply the nearest swing ride. Since we seem to have moved into a nice stretch of warm sunny weather, Dada was kind enough to pull Emily's swing out of storage and re-install it in the Patio....Yay Dada!! So now begins some power swinging as Emily really likes to be swinging high these days as you can see in this next photo....

And to clear any doubt as to how much Emily likes swinging, this next photo catches that really enthusiastic laugh of delight (slightly out of focus unfortunately, I blame the fast moving swinging baby, but you can still see that big laugh)......

And as Emily grows up, being on the move has new options for her adventuring delight. In this last set of photos, adventuring delight involves her big tricycle which is now becoming her ride of choice when moving on her own....Note the "I'm waiting on you Dada to open the front door...pleeze!

And of course, not content to wait for me to get a move on, Emily promptly begins to turn the front wheel and make the move directly toward the door, open or not..LOL.. that will teach me not to lag around....

And in closing this week, I wanted to share with you a cute little photo of Emily in the living room sitting next to Mommy's stuffed snowman, while that silly Dada with the camera stuck to his face pursues yet another photo opportunity.

That's my precious little daughter, looking all cute and innocent. Don't let that fool you though, as she is very much a giant ball of happy and fun loving mischief, always on the move :)
