So with a little bowl of popcorn, and snuggled under her favorite blanket as she watches the Goodnight Show on Sprout Channel, Emily is a happy little camper on the couch.
One of the things that works really well for Emily are routines. I'm sure that is true with most all toddlers, but it has been especially true for Emily. One of her routines is morning and evening milk time. When she gets up in the morning, she drinks a full glass of milk from her favorite mug through a straw. Same routine applies in the evening before she goes to bed. In this next photo, Emily is enjoying her evening milk while watching Nina and Star on the Goodnight show.

This week, Emily and I went shopping at lunch time on my Monday work at home day. We went to Target to buy a new tricycle for Emily. This is one of those slick folding metal tricycles from Radio Flyer, made especially for little girls (note the girly color scheme and the tassels on the handle bars). I love the design because it has a latch mechanism that lets you fold it for easy storage for travel in the car. This is great for quick visits to the park so Emily has some wheels when we get there. Emily and I saw this particular model a few weeks ago and so this week we took a trip over to Target to buy one. Emily loves it, so it's a big hit currently. She still toggles back and forth between peddling and pushing with her feet. We are working with her to spend more time on the pedals though. It's just that she has gotten so accustomed to pushing herself around inside the house on her little Pooh Airplane on wheels from Disney still. :)

Woo hoo! A NEW bike!! Lucky girl.
Psssst....Katie's getting a bike for her 2nd birthday (but it's a secret, so don't tell her!). Our girls already have the same stroller, maybe I'll look for the same bike!
